Winter weather advisory: stay warm, blog friends! It’s really cold outside. There’s lots of snow & ice on the ground, and as fun as it is to play in, it can make for one chilly puggle!
Snow is yummy, mommy!
So, what’s the solution to this wintery weather?
Two words: electric. blanket.
Snuggling in the warmth.
I’ve pretty much just been sleeping and eating lately, no interesting news to report, so i’ll just post some pictures of mommy’s latest photoshoots.

Today mommy woke up to find me in a somewhat unusual place.
The bathtub!!
No, I did not think i was really dirty. I just wanted a nice bubble bath like the kinds the humans take. Unfortunately, I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the water or make the bubbles come. 😦
Of course, mommy turned this into a photoshoot, and didn’t even have the decency to draw me a good bath.

Just a suggestion… January 10, 2009
Okay, blog friends, I’m going to give you some advice you’ll definitely be thanking me for. Get your parents to go out and watch the film, Marley and Me. I’m serious.
Daddy came home from work way early, like hours early. I was so excited I couldn’t keep my paws off of him. Then my parents ended up going out. I was mad at first, but then they came home, and they were all over me. They gave me treats, hugs, and couldn’t stop petting me.
Why, all this crazy affection, you ask?
They saw Marley & Me. It’s some film about some lab and his parents. Apparently this Marley really knew how to have a fun time, devouring furniture, drywall… and tons of puppy chow.
So, my friends, here’s to Marley… and any of you dogs out there that like to be just as rambunctious.

Mud & New Friends January 4, 2009
Dear Internet World,
Look at me, posting twice around the same time! I think that’s my new years resolution… to make mommy give me the computer so I can blog more! She can’t be doing anything that important.
This week was exciting! I had a new friend over at the house! Mommy found her outside, and she was lost! The neighbors even told mommy that she’d been running around the neighborhood for days with no humans! I bet she really missed her family! So, mommy took her to the Humane Society and made them look up her daddy’s phone number. While we waited for him to call back, she got to stay with me all day!
She was beautiful!
I hope you guys can keep a secret…. I totally had a crush on her! She was older than me – at least three years old – but who says a charming, handsome puggle like myself can’t have an older woman? She just wanted to be friends though. 😦
Mommy can we keep her?
**(Mommy told me to tell you guys to ignore the laundry in the background.)
Eventually Duchess’s (we found out that was her name) daddy came to pick her up. Mommy and I were both not to sure about him, but we know that Duchess was probably very happy to finally be in her warm home!
Anyway… in other news… I got in a bit of trouble yesterday. I tracked in a bunch of fun, gooey, gushy mud in the house, all over the carpet, kitchen, and entryway! Mommy tried not to upset me, but I could tell she was NOT happy. She even made me soak my paws in the bathtub! I normally like baths, but not when they get rid of all the fun mud I worked so hard to get on my paws!
While she was cleaning up, I put myself in time out so she’d stop being mad, and it worked like a charm! Who can resist a cute puggle who puts himself in time out?

Happy 2009! January 1, 2009
Hello all. Mommy, Daddy and I are wishing you a Happy New Year! This is my first new year ever. This Holiday season sure has been fun. I’m definitely not ready for the normal life… without road trips to see my extended family, mommy being on break from school, and dad having days off of work!

I love going home to see family. There are so many fun dogs to play with and new people to lick, whether they like it or not. But, why wouldn’t they??
Stop with the photoshoot and let me in mommy!
After Christmas with mommy’s mom I loaded up in the car with my humans and went to daddy’s parents house. They LOVE me. I mean, seriously. LOVE me. Which, of course they do, why wouldn’t they? I got to show off my tricks for them and even protected them from some freaky dancing & singing snowman. I mean, what kind of snowman lives inside and doesn’t melt? He was by the FIREPLACE. Stupid snowman. I barked at him till he shut up, that is for sure.
Still, Christmas at Daddy’s parents wasn’t perfect. There were a lot of kids with pellet guns running around, so I was kinda shy.

I have to admit, as much as I love going home, running around on the farm and playing with all the other dogs, it was still really nice to come home to my house, and curl up on my couches.
Well, that is it for me today folks! If the pictures seem better, it’s because mommy got a brand new camera for Christmas. She’s very proud!

Hi guys. I know it’s been a long time. Mommy has been hogging the computer for something called “finals.” Lame! It’s almost finished, so I should be back to a full time blogger again. I’ve missed you guys!
Anyway… let me update you with some old-ish pictures.
I met demon dog. Her name is Lucifer, but they call her Luci. I think the first name fits her better. She may be small, but she’s MEAN!

Luci is daddy’s best friend’s dog. Luckily he lives far away.. at least 2.5 hrs. That means that I can sleep safely at night without worrying about her attacking me. Evil comes in small packages, my friends.
Anyway, I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season. I’m starting to really love Christmas, especially if I get some cool presents.

Road Trip! November 15, 2008
Hello World, Riley the Puggle here. I’m sorry it has been so long since I’ve written. Mommy has been lazy and hasn’t bought any batteries for her camera. And, like I always say, what’s the point of a blogpost without cute puppy pictures? Anyways, it has been an exciting week! Mommy & Daddy got engaged, which seems to mean that mommy just has a new toy I’m not allowed to play with on her finger. So, to celebrate, we went down to see my Grandmas, which means I got to play with my kinda cousins!

I hadn’t been down to see my parents families since I was really little. I was so excited to show my cousins how much I had grown, especially the little yorkie, Harley. Last time we met we were both about 8 pounds, but now, haha, I had doubled in size and he was still the same! I got to really show him who was boss. The other dog, Ernie and his brother Bert were still really really big. I keep trying, but I think it’ll take me a really long time to get that big.

Digging!
Today was a great day!
I got to play with my roommate/BFF Mocha, and we dug an awesome hole in the backyard. I think Mommy wanted to be mad, but she couldn’t be because we were just too darn cute digging it!
In other BIG NEWS, I got my very first piece of mail EVER today! It was even addressed to me, Riley the Puggle! I was so excited. My friend Kylie sent me a special Halloween present.

… and guess what was inside the package? TREATS! I was very, very excited. I even tried to open the package while Mommy was taking a picture! It was so hard to wait!

[1] He wakes up to take me out in the middle of the night when I can’t hold it.
[2] He calls me cool nicknames like “Riles” and “The Riley Monster.”
[3] He crumples up treats in my food bowl.
[4] He keeps my side of the bed warm so I can curl up to mom when he leaves in the mornings.
[5] He always wants to take me on car rides.
